Matchday 6 of Segona FFCV · Group 1. CD Almazora ‘B’ took on CD Els Ibarsos at Campo Municipal Jose Manuel Pesudo — the group’s runaway leaders and ultimately category champions — and signed off a hard-earned 1-1 draw of considerable merit.
The Amateurs put together a brave performance, refusing to give up the ball and keeping their lines tight to disrupt the league’s in-form side. Adrián Pérez and Pablo Marco controlled the wings well, and the back line, led by Carlos Oñate and Guillem Gil, kept a clean sheet for much of the first half.
After the break, the visitors got their reward with a quick counter for 0-1, but the albinegros did not drop their heads: a good move down the wing levelled the match and kept up the pressure until the final whistle, with Pedro Talero signing off a couple of decisive saves in the closing minutes.
A draw of great moral value for an Amateur side that shows it can compete with anyone in its group. The unit keeps growing and feeding players to the first team across the season.
