CD Almazora was founded in 1914, one of the first football clubs in the province of Castellón. After two refoundations across a century of history, today it competes with 26 federated teams, two women’s sides in the Liga Valenta and more than 450 players in its youth academy, with the first team in the Lliga Comunitat. 1914
Founding of the club
Club Deportivo Almazora is founded as one of the first football clubs in the province of Castellón. The dean of the La Plana region.

1949
First refoundation
After economic struggles bring the club’s activity to a halt, a group of supporters refound the entity to bring football back to Almassora.

1968
Second refoundation
After a decade of inactivity, CD Almazora return to the Valencian regional competitions.

1989/90
Regional Preferente champions
The first team are crowned group champions and earn promotion to Tercera División for the first time in the club’s modern era.

1990/91
5th in Tercera División
The club’s best-ever finish in a national category, closing the season in the upper half of the Valencian group.

2014
Club centenary
A hundred years of football in Almassora. Institutional celebration with the fans and former players.

2015/16
Return to Tercera División
After beating CD Burriana in the promotion play-off, the first team return to Tercera División after more than two decades.

2022/23
Commitment to women’s football
The club adds a women’s section and starts competing with girls’ youth teams, extending the sporting model to the entire academy.
